The summer internship experience (Teach for Southern Tier New York) is a 6-week experience providing future educators with hands-on learning within local districts (Elmira City School District and Corning-Painted Post School District).
As our intern, you are provided opportunities to apply theory to practice by designing and facilitating meaningful learning experiences for students.
You are paired with a host/mentor teacher who provides 1:1 guidance and support.
You’ll live, work, and experience the communities in which Corning operates, while cultivating your teaching skills.
As our Intern, you will also be involved in various professional development and networking events where you will enhance your social capital to position you for success as you embark on your teaching career.

Travel Requirements: Travel to your host school and professional development experiences required Hours of work/work schedule/flextime: M-Thursday: school hours (8am-3pm) Friday: business hours (8am-5pm) Requirements: Enrolled in an accredited teacher or administrator education program within New York This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $1,635.
00 - $3,185.
00 biweekly.
Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
