Position Summary: An engineering leader who is responsible for coordinating the process engineering and control effects of a glass manufacturing process.
The candidate plays a ke role in our product development process, defining key process indicators (KPIs) and coordinating cross functional efforts between production departments.
The role calls for leadership skills, project management abilities, as well as, technical aptitude for data drive activities in a manufacturing setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define key process metrics and parameters to focus on for meeting production standards
- Encourage and coordinate cross-functional engagment between production departments
- Lead and mentor Process Engineers towards data driven problem solving.
Other management responsibilities 40% of the time
- Utilize LEAN Six-Sigma tools for continuous improvement
- Oversee New Product Development efforts and factory acceptance testing
- Promote a safe and productive work environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in continuous improvements within a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Minimun of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a glass manufacturing environment
- Must be able to provide after hours and weekend support on a rotating basis as required
- Must appreciate working with great co-workers
