The Grants Manager will identify, define and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies.
The position requires occasional meetings at different CCC locations and in the community, Prolonged time sitting/standing working with computers and monitors, ability to walk/move across campus including walking up and down stairs, ability to lift up to 20 pounds (occasionally may be more), repeated motions may include keyboard typing in a typical office and indoor building environment, occasional outdoor activity may be required.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Grant Research and Writing 35%Researches and identifies new government, corporate, foundation and private funding prospects to match College prioritiesGenerates high-quality proposals, narratives, applications, budgets and supporting documents in response to solicitations consistent with all policies and procedures of SUNY Corning Community College, and the requirements and guidelines of the funding agenciesWorks with appropriate personnel and external partners to research, develop, write and submit letters of inquiry/support, concept papers, and grant proposalsGenerates revenues for College programs through timely submission of well-researched, well written and well-documented grant proposalsRemains up-to-date on current issues relative to grant proposalsMeets regularly with faculty/staff to discuss current and new funding needsGrants Management 40%Maintains primary responsibility for grant schedules and tracking grantsServes as a liaison to all funding agencies, organizations and external partnersCoordinates and follows-up on the progress of submitted proposalsCoordinates with the Finance Office to create expenditure and income budgets to accompany proposalsDevelops and maintains a master file on pending grants and contractsMaintains working knowledge of regulations & other matters of compliance with all grantsBecomes familiar with and adheres to policies and procedures of Corning Community College, the State University of New York, and the State of New York regarding grant managementPrepares work plans and timelines to ensure timely submission of reports, reimbursement requests, and other contract-related documentsOrganize and schedule meetings, as needed.
Grants Reporting 25%Collates program data and prepares reports.
Compiles an up-to-date calendar of post-award activities for grants and contracts.
Assembles all necessary supporting materials and documents including budget reports, outcome measurements, success stories, etc.
