The AssistantProduce Manager will oversee the operation of the Produce department.
Major areas of responsibility include:
Assisting the Produce Manager
Providing friendly and attentive customer service
Processing, preparing, wrapping, slicing, weighing, marking, and packaging product
Maintaining shelves and cases by proper stocking, cleaning, straightening, and watering
Rotating products to ensure the freshest produce is available to customers
Fulfilling customer orders for items such as fruit or vegetable platters, baskets, etc.
Maintaining a clean department
Proper ordering and receiving of product
Achievement of financial goals (sales gross profit maximization)
Inventory and shrink control
Ensuring regulatory compliance
Selection, training, development, and scheduling of Produceassociates
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to maintain a friendly and courteous manner and promote sales through excellent customer service
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
Basic computer skills
Ability to operate knives and case cutters, computerized scales, scan guns, baler/compactor, and pallet jack
