Registered Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient progress and medical documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Assist in case management and coordination of patient services
- Conduct physical examinations and provide occupational health services
- Perform basic life support procedures as needed
- Utilize Athenahealth or similar electronic medical record system for documentation and coding purposes
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities to promote their health and well-being
*Unit Notes*
NO ORTHO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 27-bed unit – common admissions include total joints, hip fractures, spinal surgery & multiple traumas among adolescent, adult & geriatric age groups.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY
- Minimum 1 years of nursing experience in a hospital or similar healthcare setting
- Proficient in suture techniques and wound care management
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards and practices
- Experience in case management and coordinating patient services
- Familiarity with occupational health procedures and physical examinations
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with coding and utilizing electronic medical record systems such as Athenahealth
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
