Job Description:
We are seeking a fleet maintenance technician/assistant to work in our maintenance shop.
Duties include diagnosing problems with different types of diesel trucks/other equipment and making repairs accordingly.
The position responsibility include equipment inspections using specific requirements set by KFS and state requirements.
Hours:
* Monday-Friday
* 5 day schedule, Mon-Friday 11:30 am-8:00 pm with occasional overtime

Major Responsibilities and Qualifications;
The ideal candidate will need to have:
* 2 to 4 years of mechanical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (would prefer individuals to have electrical, electrical components, plumbing, refrigeration, welding)
* Have good communication, listening and observational skills related to fleet maintenance
* Willing to attend required courses as deemed necessary
* Ability to follow instructions, work safely and practice correct safety procedures
* Work flexible hours as needed
* Perform and/or assist in the performance of general fleet duties
* Ability to perform preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles, including oil changes, brake adjustments, grease intervals, etc.
* Ability to use diagnostic software to read and understand diagnostic trouble codes, as well as determine correct course of action to repair, using computerized and/or specialized tools
* Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, with ability to troubleshoot when needed
* Know the basic functions and components of air brake systems
* Performs other duties assigned by Fleet Manager
* Graduate of a technical school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company
* Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds
* CDL Class A or B (Class A preferred), ability to drive a manual transmission preferred
