Role Summary: The Senior Marketing Content Lead will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging content that aligns with our brand voice, resonates with our target audience, and drives the reader to act.
The Senior Lead will collaboratively develop content across channels, including website copy, articles, social media content, direct mail, email, and more.
Essential Job Duties Acts as a coach and leads the development of high-quality content that educates, informs, and engages our target audiences across multiple channels to encourage retention and conversions.
Leads efforts with credit union stakeholders and data-focused teams to drive content decisions, while ensuring work meets needs, timeline, and compliance standards.
Independently researches, writes, and edits corporate messages for multiple channels, including in-person and written communications.
Manages all writing and posting to social channels, working independently and with the credit union team to create a mix of product and community focused content that reflects our vision and services.
Optimizes content for search engines and lead generation, including keyword research and metadata optimization.
Researches industry trends, member needs, and competitive landscape to inform content strategy and messaging.
Analyzes content performance to gain actionable insights, with a goal of continuous improvement.
Develops and maintains corporate writing style guide.
Stays abreast of credit union policies, advertising regulations, and product and service enhancements to effectively communicate with the team, members, and non-members.
Assumes responsibility for other duties or projects as required or assigned.
Required Competencies Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong judgment and independent decision-making skills.
Proficiency in social media and social media management platforms.
Familiarity with common design programs, such as the Adobe Suite and Canva.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Outstanding quality and accuracy of work.
Maintains exceptional flexibility and can manage time wisely and effectively juggle changing priorities based on business needs.
Excels in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and agile marketing department.
Possesses a high level of initiative.
Education Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications preferred; commensurate work experience also considered.
Experience Requirements 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, advertising, or related field required.
Communication Skills Required The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions as well as various correspondence and memos.
The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards required.
The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, clients, and other employees of the Credit Union is also required.
Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the role.
Ability to work within a moderately noisy, fast paced environment.
Regular use of computer required.
Lifting requirement exceeds 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus from close range to long range.
Compensation - The Senior Marketing Content Lead pay range is $61,500 - $90,000 per year.
Hiring rates are dependent on several factors, including years of related work experience, education, and geographic location.
Corning Credit Union also offers an annual bonus plan as part of its comprehensive compensation package.
Additionally, most roles have further levels providing added growth opportunities and earnings potential.
