The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

*Scope of the Position:* Provide program leadership over the health and wellbeing vendors and services for active employees, retirees and dependents.
Partner with global Total Rewards team to insure deliver best in class services.
*Responsibilities:* * Manage Corning’s Health and Welfare benefit plans * Consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects to ensure that benefits plans, and practices are compliant with current legislation.
* Supports management’s decision-making process by analyzing benefit options and predicting future costs.
* Identifies benefit options by studying programs and obtaining advice from consultants.
* Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing laws and regulations and updates to legal requirements.
* Manages benefits staff by coaching, counseling, and mentoring employees.
* Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
* Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as directed.
*Education and Qualifications* * BA or BS Degree in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, or related fields * 10 years of benefits work experience * Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists * Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail, demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
