Trucking Supervisor

*Job Summary: *The trucking supervisor is to oversee the day to day field trucking operations.
This position is required to be present in the field at all times on customer locations and throughout trucking routes.
It is essential that the trucking supervisor is engaged with all CDL drivers to ensure that they are working in a safe and efficient manner.
In addition, the supervisor is responsible for making sure that all state and federal DOT regulations as well as company policies and procedures are being followed.
*Job Duties and Responsibilities: * - Communicate with the Operations Manager daily to review and discuss operations.
*-* Assist manager with scheduling and communicating schedule changes to drivers.
*- *Responsible for supervising drivers and providing expertise in the safe and efficient operation of daily tasks.
*-* Responsible for all activities associated with day to day field operations of water hauling to/from job sites.
*-* Creates and maintains necessary job and driver reports to capture required information for manifest and dispatch tracking.
- Communicates job status updates (including route changes, volume requirements, load/off load locations).
*-* Act as a point of contact with customers/company men while on location to ensure drivers are operating safely and efficiently.
*-* Conducts periodic inspections of driver paperwork/reports to ensure they are properly completing all required documents (electronic and paper).
- Verifies drivers are conducting pre/post trip inspections as per DOT requirements.
- Conducts driver road test as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as requested by management.
*Job Requirements: * *- *High school diploma or GED.
- Must posses a valid Class A or B commercial drivers license (CDL).
- Minimum of 5 years’ of commercial driving experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in oil & gas water hauling preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment under minimal supervision.
- Must have clean driving record and be able to pass company require Motor Vehicle Report.
-Knowledgeable of DOT rules, regulations and requirements.
- General knowledge of truck maintenance.
- Excellent verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Previous oil field experience preferred but not required.
*Physical Requirements: * - Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Work in extreme hot and cold weather.
- Could be exposed to loud noise levels.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of concentration in a busy environment.
- Must be able to speak and hear phone conversations clearly.
- Must be able to work Monday – Sunday 12-14 hour shifts.
- Must be able to operate hands free device for all communication.
