After School Teacher

Responsibilities: - Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards - Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students - Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning atmosphere - Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students in the learning process - Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education Skills: - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students - Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children - Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices - Experience in behavior management techniques - Ability to provide Christian counseling and guidance to students - Experience in theater or sports coaching is a plus - Understanding of childhood development stages and milestones - Previous experience working with students, such as tutoring or babysitting Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
