*Full Time or Part Time Availability*
This position is ideal for a physician looking to transfer their acute hospitalist training and experience to the post-acute world, where they can gain greater independence, flexibility, financial security, and leadership opportunities.
There is limited, or no call required, and the schedule can be flexible as long as there is a routine commitment for daytime rounding availability.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage new admissions and continued medical care for predominantly geriatric population
* Proactively round on rehab and long term patients and complete necessary documentation/orders timely based on agreed upon facility/patient needs.
* Provide strong physician leadership and exceptional patient care in a post-acute care setting
* Collaborate with center interdisciplinary care team and First Docs leadership on quality improvement initiatives
*Qualifications*
* MD/DO degree from accredited medical school
* Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine preferred
* Current unrestricted state medical license and DEA
* Proficiency with EMR
* Compassionate, Intelligent, Motivated, Team Player
